Issues

As a concerned citizen and candidate for State Senate, Charles is concerned with the following:

• Our infrastructure is declining to the point that many roads in Lexington County area have become hazardous.
• Term limits are needed.
• Supports Governor Henry McMaster's efforts to reform secret spending projects amounting to "government in the dark".

As are countless people in our state, Charles is frustrated and angered by many of the actions and decisions involving the South Carolina Legislature. A lack of foresight of current political leaders has made life harder for many of our citizens and is reducing the quality of life for almost all. We, in South Carolina, have roads that have been so long neglected or patched, that many need to be rebuilt. We have lost our state's largest private employer, SCANA, and now have a debt that will be a burden for years to come.

If we want a better outcome than what we have experienced in the past, we need new leaders who are not tied to the old ways. One way to bring about a different way of doing our state's business is through openness into the workings of the legislature.
